- Who is behind Readers & Publishers?
Readers & Publishers is a project by My Bookcase, a social enterprise based in Glasgow, Barcelona & Amsterdam lead by a steady team of women creatives: Julia Doz, Katie Reid and Cristina Garriga. My Bookcase explores the role of the book and its reader in today's society. Empowering the reader by offering a creative space to unfold the knowledge gathered through private readings, and to bring individual knowledge into shared experience to support collective intelligence.
- How did Readers & Publishers start?
In 2017 My Bookcase's crowdfund campaign was successfully supported by 98 backers enabling us to take the first major step towards creating an online directory of independent publishers. The inspiration for Readers & Publishers came from our community of readers, writers and publishers who helped us identify the existing lack of a resource of this kind featuring independent publishers and their work. We were particularly interested in developing a directory that had an international spread but connected publishers through areas of interest and could signal publisher's submission policies to interested writers and creatives.
- What should I do if I notice something is out of date or wrong in a Readers & Publishers directory entry?

Although we make reasonable efforts to update the information on our site, we make no representations, warranties or guarantess, whether expressed or implied, that the content on our site is accurate, complete or up to date.
